Paul is a musician and a record producer, therefore recent albums and sound projects for film are highlighted here. The works have been commercially released and form part of collaborations with public agencies and/or other musicians.

RESEARCH COLLABORATIONS

(2009, July–October), Realised by William Duckworth & Nara Farrell and hosted by the Queensland Conservatorium Research Centre (QCRC), Sonic Babylon is a global art project planting interactive 'gardens of sound'. Riding local Wi-Fi networks, each garden grows in selected spaces within a community, bringing the music, sounds, and stories of that locale's past and present into the future, and allowing networked visitors access to a world beyond the world they see. Sonic Babylon's 3 gardens for the QCRC are in Cairns, South Bank/Brisbane, and Noosa. A permanent garden in the inner courtyard of the National Film and Sound Archive in Canberra will celebrate their 25th anniversary and Sound Day 2009.

(2007, June–September)William Duckworth & Nara Farrell, iOrpheus: Art Among us. The prominent New York based composer William Duckworth worked with the QCRC on a Fulbright Senior Specialist Grant to create a world premiere of iOrpheus, an iPod based public opera created with co-collaborator Nora Farrell, and featuring downloaded scenes merging with live music, ringtones and a wireless sound garden in the South Bank Parklands.
